I love Photographing Winnipeg Winter Weddings. We shot this awesome Winnipeg Wedding at St. Boniface Country Club. The moment I met Chris and Dawn, we became good friends. That is the best part of being a Winnipeg Wedding Photographer, you meet the best people. Chris & Dawn are both into comics, Chris likes Captain America, I like Captain America, Dawn likes Batman, I like Batman….Dawn does not like BatFleck (Ben Affleck as Batman) though.
Chris & Dawn met online and their first date was Mockingjay Part 1, and as Dawn puts it “I must have impressed him enough for him to invite me to a Jets game for date #2”. Chris proposed to Dawn at Birds Hill Park on a walk after a nice dinner. That is where we shot their engagement photos (Jets jerseys and all).
They did a First Look and we started shooting at The Millennium Library here in Winnipeg, we got some great shots, from there we moved over to the Hydro Building and continued shooting. We got some really great photos and some super funny ones too. After that we went back to St. Boniface Golf & Country Club and got some unbelievable photos there with the wedding party and then just the bride and groom. Even though it was -20 out, the wedding party was awesome and up for anything.
Tricia Bachewich married them, Tricia is beyond amazing and took care of everything that day. We had an all start lineup of vendors to look after Chris and Dawn’s wedding (see below for list), I would highly recommend them all. The food was amazing as was the service St. Boniface provided. I have shot a lot of weddings in a lot of places, and St. Boniface by far is the Gold Standard of what Customer Service and the Chef should be. The DJ Service, Platinum Productions kept everyone on the dance floor all night. And my Photo Booth was packed for close to 2 hours. Everyone had a great time and got some super funny pictures. We shot late into the night and by 1:00 we were saying our goodbyes and started to pack up for the way home. What a great day and a great night!!! Thank you so much Chris and Dawn for having me shoot your wedding for you. I am so happy we met and have become good friends. Congratulations!!!
